Pinckneyville History Project The Perry County Historical Society plans to create a book with photographs, maps and information about the different businesses that have existed in Pinckneyville in the past. In addition, we will use this opportunity to create a database about the businesses for seeking information in the future. For more information about the Perry County Historical Society call Bill Timpner (618) 357-8112 or Lance Feik (618) 357-8610. Visit the Perry County Jail Museum at 108 W Jackson St., Pinckneyville, IL 62274 on Mondays 8-3 or Wednesday mornings 8-12. The Museum features examples & items of domestic life of the past, a replica of a one room school house, on-going quilting with quilters working on Mondays, genealogy resources, Lincoln book collection, an 1800 cell block with original inmate art and other items of historical interest. To participate or add information, please use either of the links listed above. You may email the information to the address on the form or mail to the Jail Museum whose address is also on the form. If you would like to contribute a photograph, please send to the Jail Museum, or send in jpg digital format to the pinckneyville history email address: pinckneyville.history @ mchsi.com (delete spaces around @ sign to send) |
